Vincent John Cusano, known as Vinnie Vincent, was born on August 6, 1952. He is an American guitarist who gained fame during his time as the lead guitarist for the rock band Kiss between 1982 and 1984. Vincent replaced Ace Frehley, introducing a fresh edge to the band’s hard-rock sound. His songwriting and guitar playing can be heard on Kiss’s 1982 album “Creatures of the Night,” and he was the last member to don a unique makeup and costume combination, known as The Ankh Warrior.

Apart from his tenure with Kiss, Vincent also pursued a successful solo career and formed his own band, the Vinnie Vincent Invasion, which later evolved into Slaughter. In 2023, he released his highly anticipated album, “Judgment Day (Guitarmageddon Pt.1).”

Vincent’s notable accomplishments include his role in Kiss’s identity shift during the early ’80s, his exceptional guitar skills that revitalized the band’s sound, and his captivating stage presence. However, despite his talent, Vincent’s relationship with the other Kiss members soured, ultimately leading to his exit from the band. His time with Kiss was particularly significant as it coincided with the band’s transition away from their iconic makeup era.
