Vanessa Kerry, an American physician and public health expert, gained prominence when she introduced her father, presidential nominee John Kerry, at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. She is the founder and CEO of Seed Global Health, a non-profit organization focused on improving global health. In addition to her work with Seed Global Health, Kerry has served on the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Affairs Policy Board and received the 2015 Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award. An accomplished equestrian, she has participated in numerous horse riding competitions. Notably, the World Health Organization appointed her as the first-ever Director-General Special Envoy for Climate Change and Health.
