Trevor Story, a professional baseball player, currently serves as a shortstop for the Boston Red Sox. He was initially picked by the Colorado Rockies during the first round of the 2011 MLB draft, subsequently signing with the team and opting out of attending LSU. Throughout his career, Story has been named an All-Star twice, won the Silver Slugger award on two occasions, and achieved a career batting average of .266 with 175 home runs and 522 RBIs. In 2023, he became a valuable addition to the Boston Red Sox. An interesting tidbit about Story is that he received a $915,000 signing bonus when he joined the Colorado Rockies.
