Tommy Noonan was an American actor, director, and screenwriter who gained prominence in the comedy genre. He is best known for his supporting roles as Gus Esmond in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (1953) alongside Marilyn Monroe and as musician Danny McGuire in “A Star Is Born” (1954). Throughout his career, which spanned from the 1940s to the 1960s, Noonan appeared in a variety of high-profile films and B movies, including “Born to Kill,” “Manhunter,” and “The Astronaut’s Wife.” He continued to have a successful career in Hollywood until his passing in 1968.
