Tommy DeVito, an American musician and singer, was born on June 19, 1928, in Belleville, New Jersey. He gained fame as a founding member, lead guitarist, and vocalist of the rock band The Four Seasons. With his significant contributions to the band’s foundational sound, they achieved three US No. 1 hits, including popular songs like “Sherry” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” His brother, Nick, was also an early member of the band. Besides his work with The Four Seasons, DeVito participated in musicals such as “Jersey Boys” and “Tommy DeVito: Streetfighter.” Unfortunately, he passed away on September 21, 2020, at 92 years old due to complications from COVID-19.
