Thomas Kennerly Wolfe Jr., born on March 2, 1930, was an American author and journalist renowned for his involvement in New Journalism, a style that emerged in the 1960s and 1970s, blending news writing and literary techniques. Wolfe gained recognition for his satirical works, which often explored the counterculture of the 1960s and delved into issues of class and social status. Some of his most notable works include “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test” (1968), “The Right Stuff” (1979), and “The Bonfire of the Vanities” (1987). His innovative writing style significantly influenced the field of journalism. Sadly, Wolfe passed away on May 14, 2018.
