Tom Clark (born March 1, 1941) is a multifaceted American writer, known for his work as a poet, editor, biographer, novelist, dramatist, reviewer, and sportswriter. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he developed a passion for baseball, which became a recurring theme in his poetry. From 1963 to 1973, Clark served as the poetry editor for The Paris Review, a literary magazine he co-founded. Throughout his career, he published numerous poetry volumes, including “Fractured Karma” in 1971, and biographies such as “The Life and Times of Joe McCarthy” and “Jack Kerouac: A Biography”. In 2007, he combined his love for literature and baseball by publishing “The Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading and Bubble Gum Book”.
