Raymond Joseph Teller, an American magician, illusionist, and actor, rose to fame as one half of the renowned magic duo Penn & Teller. He is particularly known for his silent acts and incorporating magic as a storytelling medium. Some of his notable works include directing the 2008 film “Play Dead,” the documentary “Tim’s Vermeer,” the TV series “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” and the Broadway production of “The Tempest.” In 2013, the Academy of Magical Arts honored him as Magician of the Year. Teller is also a skilled Latin scholar, often integrating his knowledge of Latin into his performances and drawing inspiration from ancient Roman rituals and mythology.
