Steve Perry, an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, is best known for his role as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey. He joined the group in 1977, and his distinctive voice quickly became one of the band’s most significant identifiers. Perry contributed to Journey’s peak success with the 1981 album “Escape,” which featured their iconic song “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Other popular Journey hits include “Faithfully” and “Open Arms.”
In addition to his work with Journey, Perry has released several solo albums, such as “Street Talk” and “For the Love of Strange Medicine.” After a 20-year hiatus, he made a comeback in 2018 with the album “Traces,” which includes tracks like “No More Crying” and “We’re Still Here.” Perry was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in 2017.
