Michael Shawn Crahan, commonly known as Clown, is an American musician who co-founded the heavy metal band Slipknot in 1995. As the band’s percussionist, he is identified as #6 and is recognized for his unique masked appearance during performances. Crahan is the only original member still in the band. Apart from Slipknot, he has directed music videos for Mudvayne, produced and directed the film Officer Downe (2016), and co-produced Slipknot’s album All Hope is Gone. He also participates in various side projects, such as the Black Dots of Death. Recently, Crahan experienced the personal tragedy of losing his daughter, Gabrielle.
