Samantha Smith was a renowned American child actress, most notably recognized for her portrayal of Nellie Oleson on the TV series “Little House on the Prairie.” She made appearances in other popular shows, such as “The Love Boat” and “Fantasy Island.” In addition to her acting career, Smith was well-known for her peace activism amid the Cold War. She penned a letter to the Soviet Union’s leader, Yuri Andropov, which resulted in an invitation to visit the country.
