Salvador Dali, the renowned Spanish surrealist artist, is celebrated for his eccentricity and peculiar, dreamlike paintings. Some of his most well-known pieces are “The Persistence of Memory,” “The Elephants,” and “Swans Reflecting Elephants.” Dali’s talents went beyond painting, as he also created the Chupa Chups logo and worked with Walt Disney on the short film “Destino.” Famous for his outlandish behavior, Dali often made headlines with his extravagant public appearances, such as attending an art opening in a Rolls Royce filled with cauliflowers or walking an anteater on a leash through the streets of Paris. His pet ocelot frequently accompanied him on his travels and to restaurants. With a portfolio of over 1,500 paintings and contributions to various art forms, Dali remains a prominent figure in the Surrealist movement.
