Ron Ely is an American actor and novelist, renowned for his roles as Tarzan in the 1966-1968 NBC series and as the lead character in the 1975 film Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze. He has also featured in other films and television shows, such as South Pacific (1958) and the TV series Malibu Run (The Aquanauts) (1960). Additionally, Ely has authored two mystery novels, East Beach and Night Shadows, and hosted the Miss America pageant telecast in 1980.
