Richard John Hatton MBE, born on October 6, 1978, is a retired British professional boxer, boxing promoter, and trainer. He competed from 1997 to 2012, holding multiple world championships in light-welterweight and welterweight divisions. Hatton is ranked as the 11th greatest European boxer and the 5th greatest British boxer of all time by BoxRec. He is best known for his high-profile matches against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
In addition to his boxing career, Hatton has worked as a promoter, helping to launch the careers of other successful boxers. He was awarded an MBE for his services to boxing and inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Hatton has also appeared in films and television shows, such as “Y Mabinogi,” “Phoenix Nights,” and “Ideal.” Recently, he made a comeback in an exhibition fight against Marco Antonio Barrera.
