Rick Pitino, an American basketball coach, has had a highly successful career, becoming the first head coach to win a men’s NCAA Division I national championship with two distinct schools – the University of Kentucky in 1996 and the University of Louisville in 2013. However, Louisville’s 2013 title was later vacated due to an NCAA scandal. Over 34 full seasons as a college head coach, Pitino has accumulated 832 wins and led three schools to the Final Four. He is also a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
