Canadian actor, comedian, musician, and writer Rick Moranis gained fame in the 1980s and 1990s with roles in popular comedy films such as “Ghostbusters,” “Spaceballs,” “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” and “Little Shop of Horrors.” He was also a cast member on the television show “Second City Television” and wrote and starred in the comedy series “SCTV Network.” Moranis received critical acclaim for his role in “Parenthood” and earned a Grammy nomination for his comedy album “The Agoraphobic Cowboy.” His other notable works include “Strange Brew,” “Streets of Fire,” and “Ghostbusters II.” Interestingly, Moranis began his career as a radio DJ while still in high school, eventually writing, producing, and hosting his own show.
