Renée Asherson was a distinguished English actress who gained fame for her performances in film, television, and theater. She rose to prominence for her role as Princess Katharine in the 1945 film “Henry V,” starring alongside Laurence Olivier. Asherson’s other notable works include “The Way to the Stars,” “The Importance of Being Earnest,” “Theater 625: Ivanov,” “The Old Men at the Zoo,” and “The Pigeon Tunnel.” For her performance in “The Way to the Stars,” she earned a BAFTA Film Award nomination for Best British Actress.
