Prince Arthur was the eldest son of King Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York, and an older brother to the future King Henry VIII. He was Duke of Cornwall from birth, and he was created Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester in 1489.

Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1850-1942), was Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom’s third son. He uniquely served as Governor General of Canada, contributing significantly to the Canadian military and various charitable organizations. A lover of art and music, Prince Arthur was a skilled painter and musician, with his works continuing to be admired today. He also played a role in the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway and advocated for education and healthcare in Canada.
