Phillip Martin Simms, an American former professional football player, dedicated his entire 15-year career to playing as a quarterback for the New York Giants in the NFL. He is now a television sportscaster for the CBS network. Simms played college football with the Morehead State Eagles before joining the Giants as a first-round pick in the NFL draft. He is renowned for leading the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XXI and earning the title of the game’s MVP. A two-time Pro-Bowler, Simms also topped the NFL in passer rating in 1989. Besides his football career, he has been a television broadcaster for CBS Sports, covering NFL games and offering analysis.
