Phil Rudd, an Australian drummer, is renowned for his contributions to the legendary rock band AC/DC. Born in Melbourne, Australia, he has been part of the band during three periods (1975-1983, 1994-2015, 2018-present). Rudd’s distinctive drumming style is a crucial element of AC/DC’s sound and has inspired drummers globally. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his AC/DC bandmates. Some of his other notable accomplishments include partnering with Sonor to develop the Phil Rudd Signature Snare Drum and participating in the creation of AC/DC’s first new official photo, which confirmed his return to the band alongside vocalist Brian Johnson and bassist Cliff Williams. Interestingly, Phil Rudd is the only current AC/DC member who was born in Australia.
