Pete Docter, an American animator, screenwriter, producer, and director, is renowned for directing the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Pixar animated films Monsters, Inc., Up, Inside Out, and Soul. As the chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, he has won numerous awards for his work, including two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature. Docter’s other notable works include Toy Story, Ratatouille, and Coco. Additionally, he is an avid jazz musician and has incorporated jazz music into some of his films, such as Soul.
