Paige O’Hara, an American actress, voice actress, singer, and painter, gained widespread recognition for her iconic portrayal of Belle’s voice in Disney’s 1991 animated film “Beauty and the Beast.” She first appeared on Broadway in the 1983 revival of “Showboat” and went on to perform in various productions, including “Les Miserables” and “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” As a painter, O’Hara’s artwork has been exhibited throughout the United States. She has been honored with the Disney Legends Award and inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame. Some of her other notable works are “Enchanted,” “Annie,” and “The Swan Princess.”
