Michelle Yeoh, born on August 6, 1962, is a Malaysian actress who gained international fame for her roles in action films. She started her career in the early 1980s in Hong Kong cinema and rose to prominence with her portrayal of Wai Lin in the James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies” (1997). Yeoh’s breakthrough came with her critically acclaimed performance in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000), for which she won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and received an Academy Award nomination.
