Marvin Sapp, an American gospel singer, songwriter, and pastor, rose to prominence as a member of the gospel group Commissioned before embarking on a fruitful solo career. He is renowned for his hit singles “Never Would Have Made It” and “The Best in Me,” as well as other notable works such as “My Testimony,” “He Has His Hands On You,” “I Believe,” and “You Shall Live.” Sapp has been honored with numerous awards, including thirteen Stellar Awards and a BET Award. He also serves as the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2023, Sapp was consecrated as a bishop over the Central Province of Global United Fellowship, further expanding his influence beyond his music career.
