Martin John Kemp, an English musician and actor, gained fame as the bassist for the new wave band Spandau Ballet and for portraying Steve Owen in EastEnders. He is the younger sibling of Gary Kemp, who is also part of Spandau Ballet and has an acting career. Besides his musical pursuits, Kemp has enjoyed a successful acting career with significant roles in The Krays, The Rapture, and EastEnders. He has also served as a judge on the UK version of The Voice and is a published author, having written a memoir about his experiences in the entertainment industry. In 2012, Kemp placed third in the tenth series of Celebrity Big Brother. An interesting tidbit about him is that he worked at a greengrocer’s when he was 13 years old and became skilled at constructing tangerine pyramids.
