Mark Teixeira, also known as “Tex,” is a retired American professional baseball first baseman who had a 14-season career in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for the Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and New York Yankees, earning a reputation for his outstanding fielding skills and home run-hitting ability. Throughout his career, Teixeira received numerous awards and honors, including five Gold Glove Awards and three Silver Slugger Awards. He played a significant role in the Yankees’ 2009 World Series victory. Since retiring from baseball, Teixeira has become an analyst for ESPN’s baseball coverage.
