Margaret Livingston, an American actress, gained recognition for her role in the silent film classic “Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans.” Throughout the silent era, she appeared in more than 50 films, including “The Home Stretch” (1921), “Wages For Wives” (1925), and “A Trip to Chinatown” (1926). In 1929, Livingston successfully transitioned to sound films, starring in movies such as “Smart Money” (1931) with Edward G. Robinson and James Cagney. Notably, she was among the few silent film stars who effectively made the switch to talkies.
