Marco Antonio Solís Sosa, a Mexican musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer, was born and raised in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán. He began his musical journey at just six years old, performing alongside his brother Joel Solís as Los Hermanitos Solís. In 1975, Solís co-founded the influential Latin American band Los Bukis, where he served as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist. The band significantly impacted Mexican norteño and ranchera music.
After his time with Los Bukis, Solís embarked on a successful solo career, becoming a prominent figure in contemporary Mexican pop. Some of his most renowned works include “La Venia Bendita,” “Invéntame,” and “Si No Te Hubieras Ido.” Throughout his career, Solís has received numerous Latin Grammy nominations and has produced albums for various artists, such as Enrique Iglesias, Marisela, and Rocío Dúrcal.
