Major Harris, an American R&B singer, was renowned for his smooth, soulful vocals. He gained fame with his hit single “Love Won’t Let Me Wait,” which reached the top of the R&B charts and became a top-five hit in the US in 1975. In the late 1970s, Harris embarked on a solo career, signing with Atlantic Records and releasing his number one R&B hit single. He also had other notable hits, including “Each Morning I Wake Up” and “Jealousy.” As a former member of The Delfonics, Harris enjoyed a successful solo career before passing away at the age of 65 in 2012.
