She rose to fame for her portrayal of Ling Woo in the TV series “Ally McBeal” (1998-2002), earning two Emmy Award nominations. Liu gained wider recognition for her roles in the “Charlie’s Angels” franchise (2000-2003) and as O-Ren Ishii in “Kill Bill” (2003).

Throughout her career, Liu has showcased her versatility in both film and television. She starred in notable movies like “Chicago” (2002), “Lucky Number Slevin” (2006), and “The Man with the Iron Fists” (2012). She also had recurring roles in the TV series “Cashmere Mafia” (2008) and “Elementary” (2012-2019).
