First appearing in Uncanny X-Men #282 in 1991, Bishop is a mutant from a dystopian future where mutants are hunted and oppressed. As a member of the X-Men, he travels back in time to prevent the bleak future he comes from. Bishop has appeared in various comic book series, including his own solo series, as well as in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In recent years, Bishop has continued to play a prominent role in the X-Men comics. He has been a member of several different X-Men teams, including the main X-Men team, the X-Force, and the Excalibur. He has also been involved in several major storylines, such as the “Age of Apocalypse” and the “House of M.”

In addition to his comic book appearances, Bishop has also appeared in several other media, including the X-Men animated series, the X-Men video games, and the X-Men movies. He was portrayed by Omar Sy in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
