Louis Francis Cristillo, known as Lou Costello, was a renowned American comedian, actor, and producer. He gained fame for his double act with Bud Abbott, particularly their legendary routine “Who’s on First?”. As the most popular comedy duo of the 1940s and 1950s, Abbott and Costello’s significant works include the comedy film “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” and the TV series “The Abbott and Costello Show”. Lou Costello was cherished for his slapstick humor, comic timing, and clever on-screen banter. In 1999, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
