Lim Bo Seng (Chinese: æè°ç; pinyin: LÃn Móushèng) was a Chinese-born resistance fighter who operated in Singapore and Malaya during World War II. Before the war, he was a well-known businessman within the Chinese community in Singapore. During the Sino-Japanese War, Lim Bo Seng actively engaged in anti-Japanese activities and played a vital role in raising funds to support resistance efforts against the Japanese invasion. As a leader in Force 136, a guerrilla group, he gathered intelligence and carried out sabotage operations against the Japanese forces. Some of his most notable accomplishments include organizing underground movements and guerrilla warfare against the Japanese, co-founding the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, establishing the Chinese High School, and being posthumously awarded the Singapore Order of Merit for his contributions to the nation.
