Often referred to as “L.T.”, Lawrence Taylor is considered the best defensive player in NFL history. He played as a linebacker for the New York Giants throughout his career, from 1981 to 1993. Taylor achieved two Super Bowl championships and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times. In 1999, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Taylor’s accolades also include winning the NFL MVP award in 1986 and being selected for the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team. Apart from football, he appeared in the movie “Any Given Sunday” and wrote the book “LT: Over the Edge.” Taylor also worked as a studio analyst for CBS’s The NFL Today. Known for his intimidating presence on the field, he surprised fans with his dance skills and sense of humor when he participated in the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars in 2009, making it to the seventh episode.
