Lauren Elizabeth Potter, an American actress, advocate, and comedian, gained fame for her portrayal of Becky Jackson in the popular TV series Glee, which she joined in 2009. She began her acting career in 2007 with roles in Law & Order: SVU and the film Mr. Blue Sky. Besides acting, Potter is a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities. In 2011, Barack Obama appointed her to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. She has participated in numerous awareness campaigns and became the first-ever Ambassador for the National Down Syndrome Society in 2011.
