Lauren Platt, a British singer, songwriter, and television personality, rose to fame as a finalist in the eleventh series of The X Factor in 2014. As the youngest solo contestant to reach the live finals, she was also Cheryl’s last remaining act in the competition. Among her notable accomplishments are performing the title track for the animated film “Capture the Flag,” hosting her own show on BBC Radio 1, and appearing in the pantomime “Dick Whittington” at the London Palladium. Platt has also served as an ambassador for the children’s charity Together for Short Lives. Prior to her X Factor success, she auditioned for the role of Louise Mitchell on EastEnders in 2010 and was a runner-up in the Essex Factor in 2011.
