Landon Donovan, often considered the best American male soccer player of all time, had a prosperous club career, playing for Bayer Leverkusen and the San Jose Earthquakes. In 1999, he signed a six-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen and later joined the San Jose Earthquakes, where he won the 2003 MLS Cup. Among his most significant accomplishments are guiding the US Men’s National Team to the quarterfinals in the 2002 and 2010 World Cup tournaments, winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup four times, and securing six MLS Cups.
