Kesha Rose Sebert, known mononymously as Kesha, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actress who rose to fame in the early 2010s with her electropop-infused music and distinctive style. Born in Los Angeles, California, Kesha grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where she began writing songs at a young age. She attended Franklin High School but dropped out at 17 to pursue a music career.
Kesha’s big break came in 2005 when she was signed to Kemosabe Records. Her debut album, “Animal,” released in 2009, was a commercial success, selling over three million copies worldwide and spawning hit singles like “Tik Tok.” Subsequent albums include “Cannibal” (2010), “Warrior” (2012), “Rainbow” (2017), and “High Road” (2020).
