Katherine Jackson, the matriarch of the Jackson family, is best known as the mother of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and their famous siblings. Born Kattie B. Screws in Clayton, Alabama in 1930, she contracted polio at the age of two, resulting in a noticeable limp. Katherine married Joseph Jackson and adopted his last name. In 1963, she converted to Jehovah’s Witnesses, while her husband remained a Baptist.

Throughout her life, Katherine has been involved in various aspects of the entertainment industry, such as managing her children’s careers and founding the Michael Jackson Foundation. She also appeared on the reality show “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.” In 2013, she was recognized for her philanthropy with the Liberian Ambassador’s Women of Distinction Award.

In recent years, however, Katherine has not been involved in any major works or achievements.
