June Fairchild, an American actress and dancer, gained recognition for her role as “Ajax Lady” in the 1978 film “Up in Smoke,” starring Cheech and Chong. She also appeared in “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” (1974) and “The Student Body” (1976). Fairchild started her career as part of the Gazzarri Dancers on the variety show Hollywood A Go-Go from mid-1965 until its last episode in February 1966. Despite her accomplishments, she battled drug addiction throughout her life and ultimately passed away at 68 due to liver cancer.
