She is still a beloved figure even years after her untimely death at the young age of 16. Vega’s most notable role was her portrayal of Anna in the 1980 film “Mga Mata ni Angelita,” which became one of the most successful Filipino films of all time. She also starred in other films and television shows, including “Lovingly Yours, Helen,” “Durugin si Totoy Bato,” and “Gulong ng Palad.” Throughout her career, Vega received several awards, such as two FAMAS Awards for Best Child Actress. Besides acting, she was a skilled painter, although much of her artwork was unfortunately lost in a fire.
