She gained recognition for co-creating and executive producing the hit CW series “The Vampire Diaries” (2009-2017) and its subsequent spin-offs, “The Originals” (2013-2018) and “Legacies” (2018-2022). Additionally, Plec developed the limited series “Containment” (2016) and collaborated with Kevin Williamson on the supernatural drama series “Dead Day” for Peacock. Her other notable works include the series adaptation of “Vampire Academy” and the series “The Girls on the Bus.”
