Joseph Simmons, also known as “Rev. Run,” is a renowned American rapper, musician, and record producer who rose to fame as a co-founder of the influential hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s. Widely acknowledged for his role in popularizing hip-hop music, particularly rap, Simmons is celebrated for his work with Run-D.M.C., including hit songs like “Walk This Way” and “It’s Tricky.”
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Simmons has toured with Aerosmith, hosted reality TV shows such as “Run’s House” and “Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers,” and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
