Jon Jay, a retired American professional baseball player, is known for his 12-year career as a centerfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He gained prominence during his time with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he won a World Series championship in 2011. In addition to the Cardinals, Jay played for the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, and Los Angeles Angels, earning an MLB All-Star title in 2012. Born in Miami, Florida, he attended the University of Miami on a baseball scholarship before retiring from professional baseball in 2021.
