Joey Diaz, a Cuban-American stand-up comedian, actor, and podcaster, is known for his raw and gritty comedic style, often featuring obscene humor. He gained fame through his podcast, “The Church of What’s Happening Now,” where he hosts guests and discusses various topics. Diaz has also appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, such as “The Longest Yard,” “Spider-Man 2,” and “The Sopranos.” In 2021, he published his autobiography, “Uncle Joey’s Joint.” Having struggled with addiction for many years, Diaz has been sober since 2007 and now advocates for addiction recovery. Interestingly, Diaz began his stand-up comedy career after taking a $37 comedy course, which led him to develop a blue comedy act.
