James Vincent McNichol III, known as Jimmy McNichol, is an American actor, musician, and environmentalist who rose to fame as a teen idol in the late 1970s. He starred in several television series tailored for him, such as “The Fitzpatricks,” and appeared in other popular shows like “CHiPs,” “Starsky and Hutch,” and “Murder, She Wrote.” McNichol’s film credits include “Night Warning,” and he also worked as a stuntman in movies like “Patriot Games” and “Die Hard with a Vengeance.” As a musician, he released an album called “The Older They Get, The Harder They Fall.” Besides his entertainment career, McNichol co-founded Playground Television, Inc., an entertainment production company.
