His passion for racing emerged at an early age, influenced by his father, a former stock car racer. Gordon began his racing career at the age of five, competing in quarter midget races, where he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and determination.
Gordon’s professional racing career began in the early 1990s, making his NASCAR debut in 1992, competing in the Busch Series (now known as the Xfinity Series). His impressive performances caught the attention of Hendrick Motorsports, and he joined the team in 1993. Gordon’s NASCAR Cup Series career took off in 1995 when he won his first Winston Cup Championship at the age of 24, becoming the youngest champion in NASCAR history.
