Jack Antonoff is a musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is the lead guitarist of the band Fun, and has collaborated with numerous popular artists, including Taylor Swift and Lorde. Antonoff is known for his work as a producer and songwriter, having won several awards for his contributions to the music industry. Some of his other notable works include producing albums for St. Vincent and Carly Rae Jepsen, and his own solo project, Bleachers. Antonoff also co-wrote and co-produced the music for the hit Broadway musical “Moulin Rouge!” and has contributed to soundtracks for movies such as “Love, Simon” and “The Fault in Our Stars.”
Jack Antonoff got his name from his Jewish father’s side, which is descended from immigrants from the Russian Empire who changed their surname from “Antinoff” to “Antonoff” upon arriving in the United States.
One less known fact about Jack Antonoff is that he founded and runs his own record label, called “Red Hearse Records,” which he started in 2017. The label is an imprint of RCA Records and has signed artists such as singer-songwriter Muna and indie pop band Bleachers. Antonoff has expressed his desire to use the label to help develop and support new artists who might not otherwise have the resources or platform to make and distribute their music.
