Born on December 30, 1983, Honey Mahogany is an American activist, politician, drag performer, and singer who gained national attention as a contestant on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She released her debut EP, Honey Love, in 2014. Mahogany played a crucial role in establishing The Transgender District in San Francisco and served as its inaugural director. Her other accomplishments include hosting her own music revue, performing at the Folsom Street Fair, and being a founding member of The House of More drag-and-burlesque-performance ensemble. Mahogany utilizes her platform to advocate for LGBTQ+ and people of color’s rights. She has also worked as a legislative aide for San Francisco Supervisor Jane Kim, focusing on policy issues such as affordable housing, healthcare, and access to education.
