Henry Rollins, an American musician, actor, writer, and spoken word artist, rose to fame as the lead singer of punk band Black Flag before forming the Rollins Band. He has released numerous spoken word albums and appeared in TV shows and films such as “Sons of Anarchy” and “Heat.” Rollins has also authored books like “Get in the Van: On the Road with Black Flag” and “Occupants.” He is well-known for his activism and philanthropy, having founded the Human Rights Watch Benefit series and collaborated with organizations such as the Ali Forney Center and Drop in the Bucket. Interestingly, Rollins initially enjoyed hard rock acts like Van Halen and Ted Nugent but later developed a love for punk music alongside his friend Ian MacKaye.
